Access & Parking

Ratby Medical Centre can be easily accessed on foot or by vehicle where there is free parking available and also dedicated disabled spaces.  There is an accessible toilet including changing facilities can also be accessed off the main waiting room.

Our reception desk has a hearing loop installed to help our patients with hearing loss. 

There is touch free entry to the surgery with automatic doors and ample seating in the waiting room providing easy access for wheelchair users.

Access to clinician rooms are wheelchair friendly.

We encourage all patients with accessible needs, to inform a member of the reception team if there is any further support we can offer.

We are able to offer reasonable adjustments if required, just speak to one of our reception team.

Complaints

Your feedback is important to us. If you have any concerns or complaints about our services, we encourage you to let us know. We are committed to addressing your issues promptly and effectively. Complaints should be sent in in writing to the practice manager at ratby.medicalcentre@nhs.net

You can also contact the practice 0116 239 4960 and request to speak to one of our lead members of staff. Please note, all formal complaints must be in writing so a formal investigation can take place by the practice manager. 

 

Data Protection Complaints

If your complaint is about how the practice has used, shared or managed your personal information, this will be handled as a data protection complaint. This may include concerns about confidentiality, access to records, incorrect information, data sharing, subject access requests or suspected data breaches.

Data protection complaints can be made through the practice’s usual complaints process. The practice will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, investigate it without undue delay and provide a response. If you remain dissatisfied, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Direct complaint to Leicester Leicestershire & Rutland Integrated Care Board (LLR ICB) 

In the first instance complaints received from patients by the GP Practice should be managed by the practice directly.

Complaints can only be investigated by either the GP Practice or the ICB but not both organisations.

 

If a patient prefers to raise their complaint about their GP practice with the LLR ICB for investigation, then the new details are as below:
